Ramsey Tire and Auto Care Center, LLC originated in 2011 when Johnny and Lisa Ramsey purchased Fought Tire. Though it was already a well-established business, there is always room for growth. “In 2015, we added the Hercules line of tires. We are the only authorized dealer in Bryant,” Mrs. Ramsey states. For 2016, the auto care center has added a new tire changing machine, as well as updated equipment. The company also has the latest diagnostic scanning equipment in order to provide the best service for their customers. “We will also be joining with other local Tire Pro dealers in the Central Arkansas area to raise money for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. In June, we will participate in “Tires for Tots.” For every tire sold during the campaign, we will contribute two dollars to ACH. We are very excited about that opportunity,” Mrs. Ramsey explains. To the Ramsey’s, Saline County is home. Mr. Ramsey serves on Pulaski Tech’s Automotive School Advisory Board and is an active member of the Dixie Car Club. Mrs. Ramsey is also an active member of the Dixie Car Club, serving as secretary. “We saw good growth in 2015, and we want to continue excellent service.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
