Since 1957, Adams Pest Control LR Inc. has been serving Central Arkansas as an independently family owned and operated company. This company provides Pest and Termite control over in many areas across the state. During 2015 alone, the company has expanded into other family owned offices around the state, including a new office in Russellville. They have also added Lawn Treatment in order to yield green lawns. “2015 was a great year because of our great customers and employees!” Sylvia Adams, Human Resources manager, exclaims. Seeing as 2016 is calling for a mild winter, Adams Pest Control forecasts a record year. 2016 also brings more expansion and hopes of broadening services for the company’s loyal customers. “We are family owned and operated, but totally dependent on our excellent employees that maintain our high quality of customer service,” Mrs. Adams adds. Adams Pest Control has a very diverse line of employees that work for them. These employees are dedicated to providing premium pest and termite control not only to Saline County, but to the new areas expansion as well. “We look forward to 2016; our 60th YEAR serving Central Arkansas!” Mrs. Adams states.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
