Your health is so important. As you all know, I have IBS-D. Sometimes it decided to flare up for no reason. It happened to do this on Sunday morning after I got off work. It was to the extent that I started hyperventilating, again. Went to the doctor on Monday. I'm as healthy as a horse. I just have to continue to take my medication and watch my diet. Knowing what my triggers are is so important. The problem is that I can eat one meal and then eat the same exact thing a few days later and have a completely different reaction to it. The only thing I can do is to do what I've been doing, and to continue to self medicate as needed (and I don't mean legitimate medications). Peppermint oil, mints, and tea does wonders for your colon when it is having spasms. I recommend it just to keep a healthy digestive system. You never know how important it is for your digestive tract to run properly until yours doesn't. My faith has to remain strong and I have to remember that God has my back.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
