"With that shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:6-8
Let's remember that God is the reason for Christmas. Jesus was just, He was fair. We have to live as God lived. Stand before God. Feel the Presence. Know He is your God. Do you want mercy? You have to give mercy to receive mercy. Do as God demands and desires. God will change your life. We forget who is in charge- it is not you or I. God made us to love like He does, be Just like He is, He made us in His image. He brought us here. He saved us. Remember what it's like to be a child of God. Our world needs peace, love, mercy, just. HUMBLE THYSELF. It has to burn deep within yourself. It is the best gift anyone can receive. Raise your God up. He will give in ways we can't explain. He revives us, excites us. Pray God's churches will overflow with people humbly overflowing with Christ.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
