"Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place." 1 Chronicles 16: 23-27
Church isn't about religion. It's about relationship, praise, honor, and thanksgiving. You have to talk to God at home and at church. Worship and praise Him. He is more than worthy. THANK God at church and at home. He has given us an opportunity for salvation. He has educated us. He has allowed us to flourish. You have to put Him at the front, not the back burner. Also, give thanks to whoever brought you to church. We need to be raising our children in church and teaching them God's word. Give your kids morality. Teach them. We need to worship more. Our culture is not raising in church. We have to be disciplined. We have to take responsibility. We have to guide our children and guide the lost. We have to make them want to worship. We have to come to church more than because your mom made you. God is love. God is savior. God is glory. We are the hands and feet of Christ. It is time we start acting like it.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
