"But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!" Matthew 18: 6-7
In this passage, Jesus is telling the disciples that we as children of God need to have the approach of a child. We are all children of God. We can all be affected by someone not doing something in faith. Walk in His footsteps. Do what He does. Jesus Christ lives in you. You have to do everything in your power to follow Him. Don't leave anyone astray. Go to church regularly and worship. You have to be a Godly example to everyone around you. We have to show our children and offspring God. We need to move on with God, not without Him. You have to embrace Jesus Christ, the leader of the church. Don't deny children the privilege of going to church and learning faith. Make time for church and set a good example. Remember, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
