"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12
God is the light of the world, as well as Jesus Christ. You have to be the light of Jesus. He showed us how to live for God. You have to be the hand of Jesus Christ. The light of the world will take us home. God gave us the SUN and the SON. We need both in our lies. We desire to have the light. In case you didn't know, God is referenced as the light. The Lord shines a light in the world of darkness, so light your candles. Satan has made the darkness look so good. Let the light shine on your sins and follow God. You are able to hide in the darkness, but you shouldn't choose to. We are God's light, His Church, and His tabernacle. Jesus remains the light of the world. Let your light shine and make 2016 the year of revival and renewal.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
