Proverbs 10 begins to Proverbs of Solomon. It tells us to make our Father happy. He will provide for His followers. You need to work for everything you have. Evil brings violence. Do not stray from the path of righteousness. We need to get rid of the hatred and be full of love. It shouldn't take a hurricane for America to come together. Don't ignore your wrongdoing, embrace it and move on. Gossip is a terrible thing, and we should stay away from it. Keeping your mouth shut is the best way to live life. The Lord's love will make you "rich." If you fear your Father, you will live a long life. The Lord brings salvation to people. The followers of the Lord know what needs to be done, and they are working on doing it.
Proverbs 11 tells us to get rid of our pride. We need to follow the Lord and be faithful. You will have righteousness after death. You mustn't be unfaithful. Trouble falls on the wicked. Prosper and you won't perish. Don't gossip about your neighbor, and be trustworthy. Our nation needs guidance. We need to be kindhearted. If you are righteous then you will be full of life. Whatever you do, don't be wicked. Do not be selfish and don't bring trouble to your family. Do not go searching for evil.
Proverbs 12 reminds us that there is always room for improvement. If you are righteous then you cannot be changed into evil. The righteous cannot be overturned. Be who you are and be proud of it. Don't be lazy, and don't talk yourself into things you don't need to be in. Don't show emotions. Foul language is evil and it is important to avoid it. Make sure you always tell the truth and promote peace! The Lord detests lying, so always tell the truth. Keep quiet and keep to yourself. Don't be over zealous. Do not worry and do not have anxiety, give it all to the Lord. Remember, the righteous live forever.
I just recently finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I had no idea what this novel was going to be about going into it; all I knew was that our 10th grade English class study it. Right off the bat I noticed that our narrator was not your average Joe. The narrator is death. When I realized this I said to myself, "Oh this is going to be good." The novel is all about the Holocaust and it is shown from a German point of view. Leisel Meminger's mother gives her away to a foster German family. On the trip to this new family, Leisel's brother dies. So right from the start death is there. I'm not going to give you a synopsis of it, because I think you should read it for yourself. Just know that a German family hides a Jew in their basement for a while, and death is around every corner. That last line of the novel really got me though..."I am haunted by humans."
