I recently finished The Doctor's Wife by Elizabeth Brundage. This one was hard for me to get into. When I first started reading it, I was intrigued. Every chapter seemed to be from a different character's point of view. I was enjoying it until it became centered around adultry and abortion. I'm not going to elaborate on my views on those, but this novel was not at all what I expected. It did have a good message though: Going against the status quo can be harmful. It also had another message: Be careful who you associate with. I say these are the two messages for a couple of reasons. To start with, the doctor who was performing the abortions had threats sent to him and his family. His daughter was even marked by someone in the anti-abortionist group.
